    The Purpose of My Space

    This space I call mine is all about people and how to connect with them.  Whether that be through similar backgrounds, (PK's!!!!) mutual friends, musical interests, friends I've actually seen face to face, or you just stumbled across this site, chances are you have something in common with me.  Diversity is good enough for Christ, good enough for America, so I guess it's good enough for me.  But what I encourage you to do is to make MSN spaces a better place.  A calm, soothing environment you could trust a 6 year old in.  Don't be shy to report abuse if you find an offensive site.  Now there are 2 things about me that you shouldn't even question, because they won't change:
     
    1.  I'm a Christian.  Everything (including this) is for God's glory
     
    2.  I'll be brutally sarcastic.  This is not a degrading sarcasm meant to make you feel bad, but instead to use humor to reach the people who find this site.  If you are highly offended by something, please leave a comment, I'll try to fix it. 
     
     
    I also encourage you to post anonymous comments.  This may be to add a little humor to someone's site, (ex: post something like "hey there gUrlFRiEnd, I <3 ur space." Then put your name as something like "mystic_wizardslayer43")  or it may be to help stop a mud-slinging fight between 2 people who find the need to post obscene words to make someone angry.  Whatever it is, don't use anonymity to trash other people.  Don't forget to delete the link to your space.
     
    Finally, post on spaces you like.  These people may have something in common with you that you can talk about.  I've made a few friends myself by me or them doing that.  It also helps because then there is someone who can back you up and give your space a bit more publicity.

I learned this years ago when i wrote a short story spawned by a visit from a brother, and he was really offended by some things I took for granted (he thought it 'implied' certain thoughts on his part that were not accurate - so in order to be free to discuss my memories as I recall them, or what I feel like writing, I name no names or places that could cause unintended hurt (I like my offenses to be on purpose!), but other than that - events are exactly true as I recall them. I enjoy your site (even if you attribute to us old guys some pretty mindless attitudes) - after all, I am continually astonished to find folks your age who can read! Keep on keeping on.
